Every video editing system and ours as well,

needs a timeline module.

The Timeline is the main component in a video

editing system, with the help of the Timeline

one can perform all the basic functions required.

Currently there is no software solution that

combines video and animation at one platform. Every change drag changes in all of the

environments (video editing system and animation editing system)

There is a hollow

without any

functionalities,

only a few base

Lines of how it is

supposed to be

like.

Timeline Channel Functionality

drag and drop abilities of graphic objects (above or

below an existing video), sound files and 3D animation

files in the timeline window to create a new channel.

We need to also add and implement the abilities to add,

remove, copy, lock, re-order, mute, disable and select

multiple channels.

Timeline Object Functionality

Implementing drag and drop of graphic objects into

different existing channels.

Implementing the ability to insert, remove, stretch,

move, cut and select multiple objects

Timeline Global Functionality

Implementing the Timeline cursor.

When playing, a moving cursor should track the

corresponding position on the timeline.

Implementing the ability to set in and out markers,

Expand and contract the timeline resolution (Magnify), save, restore and merge the Timeline.

.eqx Timeline File Format

Implementing the ability to load objects and save objects to and from the timeline as an eQuinoX project file using the .eqx file format.

We need to : Study the current existing build

Study and be familiar with other video and animation editing systems (Adobe

Premiere, Apple Final Cut, Avid,Maya, 3D Max, Ogre 3D engine).

Study C# and learn how to integrate C++ with C#

Study the DirectX Technology

And Finally ,Start designing and implementing the project

Requirements.
