Sub-Tatra Region(Podhale)

The Podhale (literally "under the Mountain meadows") is Poland's southernmost region, sometimes referred to as the "Polish highlands". The Podhale is located in the foothills of the Tatra range of the Carpathian mountains, and is characterized by a rich tradition of folklore that is much romanticized in the Polish patriotic imagination.

Szlembark- the name of our village

Szlembark [ˈʂlɛmbark] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Nowy Targ, within Nowy Targ County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 15 kilometres east of Nowy Targ and 68 km south of the regional capital Kraków.

Oscypek - smoked ewe’s milk cheese

Moskol- a pie made of potatoes and baked on the stove

Kwaśnica- soup made of a sauerkraut

Bundz- a kind of cottage cheese made of sheep’s milk

Lamb – roast lamb, lamb chop, a roasted leg of mutton/lamb
