HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL

GROUPS?

Both models have long blonde hair, however in different styles. My model has straight darker blonde hair where as the artist from Kerrang! has light curly blonde hair.

Both are female models.

Darker eye makeup

The lighting is natural in my photo, however not natural in the Kerrang! photo, and my photo is against a blue background whereas the Kerrang!’s is against a black background.

The facial expression on my models face is more friendly than the real magazines photo.

Both shots are medium close ups.

The clothing is not similar, one model is wearing more colourful clothing whilst the other is wearing revealing dark clothing.

The two images are similar within the pose and the models basic look. I decided to chose this pose for my model

because I felt like this suited her and my music magazine. The Kerrang! image is rather aggressive compared to mine, although this image is one of the ones that I am most proud of. I feel like this helps to represent the alternative side of rock music and social group, as my model is appropriately dressed and her piercings also indicate that she is from the

‘rocker’ social group.
