Aims of the session

To understand some of the issues faced by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender

(LGB&T) people in today’s society, and the impact this has on their daily lives

Jo and Simon have been together for 18months. Simon is in your college.

You do not know Jo’s gender. You will be asked a number of questions and you are not allowed to use ANY word that would refer to Jo’s gender Him,

What may be different for LGB&T people?

• It may be hard to identify, and victims may not want to speak up for fear of “outing”.

• It’s about someone else’s perception so victim may not be LGB&T, and may not want others to think they are.
