Transformation & Diversity

• Improvements to faculty and staff recruitment processes

• Regular review by Dean’s Cabinet of status of MCG and departments to assess level of diversity and to glean best practices to share

• Looking at mechanisms to place faculty diversity activities as part of expected department/chairs review

• MCG Communications has done a great job of promoting the work of our faculty and showing a diverse MCG community

• Progress made with diversity of MCG student body with largest number of underrepresented minorities ever in this year’s class

• Working to develop stronger relationships with expansion of SEEP-like programs

Goal 6.1: Collaborate with the GRU Office of Communications and Marketing to enhance internal and external communications to increase awareness, understanding, and support of MCG and its local, statewide and national presence and impact.

Goal 6.2: Collaborate with the GRU Office of Advancement to build a culture of philanthropy and increase alumni engagement in MCG activities.

Goal 6.3: Work with the GRU Office of Government Relations and Community Affairs to enhance community engagement locally and statewide on all campuses.

Goal 6.4: Work with the MCG Foundation to enhance and grow stewardship, scholarship, and endowed faculty programs at MCG.

In collaboration with our partners in Communications and Marketing, Advancement, Alumni Affairs, and MCG Foundation:

• Increased communications efforts, e.g. magazines, letters, exhibits, news releases, MCG videos, etc.

• Increased engagement and participation in alumni activities/events

• Increased visits/meaningful contact with potential donors

• Increased scholarships and endowed positions through maturation of Harrison Program
