Goals of Field Testing

• Evaluate Effectiveness of Mini-Lessons • Real Science Data with Real Live Students!

• Identify Strengths & Weaknesses• What works? What needs improvement?

• Provide Feedback to Mini-Lesson Authors• Revise & Refine

• Generate Assessment Data for NSF• How are we doing? Are we meeting goals?

Methods of Field Testing

• Authors test their own lessons (Ideally)…

• Recruit additional testers (Send us names!)

• Schedule testing (person, course, term, timing)

• Test Away! Faculty evaluation & Student assessment

• Complete evaluation form

• Submit Form to Project Team
