There are two sources of lighting :

i. Natural lighting

(Sun Light , but it·s difficult to control)

ii. Artificial Lighting

(lamps, luminaries, and type of them )

There are 2 Methods that

we use to do lighting design :

(1)

and Writing

Method

(2)

Using Computer Softwaresuch as (Dialux Program )

Designers should reduce lighting energy by

selecting Lamps that have more efficiency.

Designers should Lamps which give less W/m2.

Designers should Maximize the use of day light.

Designers should install control systems to

control the Light such as (dimming circuits) .

Designers should take in consider wall colors

which minimize the need for artificial lighting.

Distance from luminaire to wall = half thedistance between rows.

(the previous step make uniform distribution

for lighting ).
