Event Design Concepts

Preston Bailey Signature Wedding & Event Design

Design Concept ILooking at the inspiration board, the silvery accent

in the building with high ceilings, combined with

fountain with the garden captured my attention. I

could design this event into a traditional style

wedding and modern at the same time.

I call this design “The Garden Wedding at the Hill”

Taiyo Golf Course

One of the most elegant golf

courses in Okinawa, Japan.

The event will be held in the

Saratoga Room which seats

80 people for a seated and

80 people for a reception.

The room is a side section of

the grand ballroom which

seats 300 people.

Anticipation

The invitation will be

sealed

with a hunter green

envelope

embroidered with gold

shimmer.

The invitation will be

wrapped with a gold

shimmer tag with the

couples names on it.

The Garden Wedding at “The Hill”

ArrivalThe bride and groom will arrive in

a white Rolls Royce. They will enter

a large foyer. The foyer is covered,

it also has large windows for

the guests to see them as they

arrive.

The lucky devils band will be

playing soft music as the couple

arrives with their favorite songs.

As the guests arrive they will sign

a rose gold globe as the guest book.

The couple moves every 3 years due

to the groom being in the military.

This is the perfect guest book idea!!

Atmosphere

There will be several types of

eucalyptus utilized throughout

the venue and incorporated

with lots of candle lighting.

A combination of silver dollar,

seeded, and baby blue will be

used for the ceremony

and the reception.

Atmosphere

The tablescape will be

mirrored tops placed on round

linen tables with Lucite

chairs+ suspended greenery.

The ballroom ceiling is

decorated with greenery

hanging from the iron railings

with additional lighting for a

intimate ambiance.

The Signature Statement

will be the short creamed

cushioned chairs for the bride

and groom. This area

will be the focal point

of the room. The table is

draped in greenery with

white and cream roses.

Gold lanterns with tall white

candles will be placed in front

of the table on the floor. The

table will be lifted so the couple

can see their guests.

Amusement

During dinner a harpist will

be hired in order to entertain

guests.

The lucky devils band with and

2 singers will be hired to

entertain the guests for dancing.

Appetite

The golf course offers different

types of buffet and set menus,

according to the clients preference.

If a buffet style is chosen, extra décor

for the buffet line is included with

The pricing as well as an ice sculpture.

The cake will be buttercream with a

gold centerpiece and draped with

greenery. The cake is placed on a gold

cake riser with candles around the

cake for additional lighting.

Appetite

An addition to the cake being served for the

guests; there will be a donut wall displayed for

the guests. The client mentioned that her and the

groom first meet at a local donut shop, so this

added touch for desserts be perfect!! Donut boxes

will be available for guests to take with them for

a late night sweet snack.

Appreciation

As a token of appreciation the

guests will leave with a custom

cream box with a mini shot

glass and 2 personalized patron

bottles. The shot glasses will

have the weddings date and

monogrammed initials on

them. The boxes will be

wrapped with green ribbon and

a dash of baby’s breath!!

Design Concept IIThe 3 photos captured my attention

for their bright contrasting colors.

The sunflowers remind me of beginning

of summer, the blue in the peacock

gives me life and the silver branches will

add texture to the design.

I call this design

Arluis Suite

“Church of the Sea Chapel”

Okinawa, Japan

Arluis Suite is a domestic resort of

Nago, Japan. The appearance and the beautiful

sea of Okinawa. It is a simple and breathtaking

venue!!

Anticipation

The invitation will be a custom

rounded invitation with a custom

envelope. Blue and green

tassels will be hanging from the

bottom of the invitation.

Arrival

The couple will arrive in a 1966

Volkswagen Beetle. The beetle

will have a peacock arrangement

hanging on the back of the car.

The guests will arrive to a silver

mirrored welcome sign as they

enter the ceremony area. The

welcome sign will have a

combination of blue, yellow and

green peacock for added décor

on the mirror.

Atmosphere

The event will take place

in two places. The ceremony

will take place in the chapel.

The aisle will have white orchids,

along with greenery and branch

accents. There will be two

large orchid arrangements that

will be used at the reception.

There will be more mirrored signage

to direct guests to the reception area.

Atmosphere~ Centerpieces and Bouquet

The cool blue bouquet will be a non-

traditional bouquet flowing with

peacocks, yellow and blue orchids. The

centerpieces for the guests tables will

be a combination of the bridal bouquet.

~Ceiling

A greenery chandelier will

be custom made and

hanging from the center of

the reception room. There

will also be white orchids

hanging as well from the

chandelier. Extra lighting

will be incorporated for

additional lighting.

The signature statement piece

is a large orchid peacock.

The gaps were filled with

dendrobium orchids and some

added phalaenopsis

orchids as an accent. This

piece will be a 360 degree

design so guests can walk

on both sides of the table.

This peacock will for sure

give the guests a “Blue Sky”

China, Flatware, & Glassware

The table linens will be a sea

blue linen with a geometric

runner with a gold, blue, and

green color scheme.

The napkins will be a sea

blue color.

The glassware will be

trimmed in a gold.

The chinaware will be cream

and trimmed in

gold as well.

Amusement

The Eisa dancers will be hired to

provide entertainment during dinner.

A D.J. will be hired after the Eisa

dancers perform.

A sound expert will be hired through

the venue to ensure the sound and

acoustics prior to the event in order

to ensure the guest have a great

experience.

The guests will have set menu options that will be chosen

when they RSVP for the wedding. The menu will include:

a side salad with house dressing, and a choice of Grilled Teriyaki

Chicken with Rice, Roast Beef with Asparagus and Twice Baked Potato

Or Salmon with Asparagus and Twice Baked Potato. A sushi bar will be

available for guests during the cocktail hour.

~The cake table and décor

The cake will be a 3 tiered buttercream cake.

The bottom tier will be trimmed in blue

and peacocks. A signature peacock broch

will be placed at the top of the cake. The

top layer cake will be vanilla bean, the

middle layer is key lime and the bottom

layer is decadent chocolate.

Appreciation

By the end of the night each guests will leave with

destination swag bags from the bride and groom. The bag

will include the basic beach essentials to enjoy the beautiful

island of Okinawa.

Summary

For the Final Project, the 2 Design

Concepts “The Garden Wedding at

The Hill” and “Blue Sky” are two

totally different designs in the elements

used and in their application.

I hope you enjoyed the designs and the

Presentation as much as I did!!
