The Footer Building was the home to Footer's Dye Works and is the last of a large complex of industrial buildings which were

constructed in the first decade of the 20th century. The Footer

Building itself was built in 1906 and is an important remnant of

Cumberland's industrial heritage.

Visibility and accessibility from I-68: 50,000 cars per day on average travel past the site; itis worth noting that in this stretch of I-68 the speed limit drops from 70 to 40 mph.Interstate exit puts traffic right in front of building.
