FYE and the Library: What I have learned so far

A simple “Hello” matters

It must be tied to a graded assignment

Students need active, relevant information

Be able to state your goals in one sentence.

We are all doing about the same things

No one knows how to market to 18-year-olds

Relationships matter

Communication is rare and beautiful

Assess everything. Numbers = $$

It costs $$

Plan the whole first year library experience

Easy. Fun. Free. Fast. Effective.

Fear nothing.
