NOTES
Coach
Theme 75 mins
• Always be prepared to adapt to your group’s needs. The ability of the players will always vary so try to find the balance between challenging the players and giving them success.
• Try to progress exercises 2-3 times per drill to keep the intensity, challenge
and knowledge increasing. (Unopposed- Opposed- Competition- Time edge, Dimensions, Number of players)
• Try to ‘layer’ the field to enable quick transitions between exercises. Try to
have the same grid easily dividable for each exercise to save time on set up.
• Allow quick drink breaks between exercises to allow time for set up or
transitions between exercises while keeping the session at a high intensity. *As this will likely be the last week of training for you and your respective teams, I would encourage some formal feedback for your players pre the winter break and give time for rest (a good week – 10 days). Encourage multi-sport activities and family time.
