GETTING YOUR RNE
Foreign students must get to the Federal Police Station to get the REGISTRO
NACIONAL DE ESTRANGEIRO (RNE), within 30 (thirty) days since the
arrival date, under the penalty of fine.
I – Documents needed: 1 – Passport; 2 – Copy of the main page of the passport and of the pages stamped when entering in Brazil; 3 – Visa and the original visa application form; 4 – Two recent colored photos 3×4 with white background; 5 – Fees' proof of payment of the two fees; 6 – Application Form. II – IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
• The process for registration, issuance / renewal of identity Foreigner is only done in person at the Federal Police. • The registered foreigner is obliged to notify the Ministry of Justice to change its domicile or residence, and must do so with thirty (30) days immediately following his execution, pursuant to art.102 of Law 6815/80, under the penalty of fine. • By going to a unit of the Federal Police bring all your personal documents. Mistaken filling out the form, notably the CEP may delay your care. • The deadline for registration is 30 days from the date of entry into the national territory (Article 30 of Law No. 6.815/1980); For questions, contact the Federal Police at the following address:

1. Go to the Policia Federal web site and click in “Estrangeiros”
2. Click in “Requerer Registro / Emissão / Renovação / Segunda Via
de CIE”.
3. Follow the steps bellow
4. Step 1: Fill out the form
IMPORTANT: Fill the information bellow according to your visa
application form.
PS: Notice that you have to answer this in “Unidade Polícia Federal” and
“Ocupação Principal”
PS: In “Local de entrada” fill out with the state and city you got in Brazil,
not necessarily Ceará and Fortaleza.
PS: If you don’t have a Brazilian number you can put international’s office
which is 85 3477- 3127.
PS: At this part you can put Unifor address.

PS: Mark the box, save and print the form.
5. Step 2: Fill out the forms for the fees. IMPORTANT: You can pay the fees once you get at Unifor.
You will be redirected to this page.
You must pay two fees, one of R$: 204,77 and the other one of R$: 106,45.
PS: Fill out with your personal information and click in “Gerar Guia”
6. Step 3: Schedule your appointment IMPORTANT: You MUST schedule your appointment within the first 30 days of your arrival in Brazil.
PS: The “Codigo de Solicitação” is a number in your application form.
7. Go to the Policia Federal at the scheduled date with the documents required (See page 01 of the guide) IMPORTANT: You must go with pants for the Policia Federal. You can not go with shorts.
