- 1969: ratification of Vocational Training Act to standardize training nationwide

- Currently around 330 recognized training professions

- Coordinated & certified by HWKs (craft) and IHKs (industry)

• AHK Representative body for the German Chambers of Commerce & Industry (IHKs) and the Association of German Chambers of Commerce & Industry (DIHK)

• Founded in 1991, to support bilateral trade (Germany – Malaysia); services to assist companies to enter the market or to enhance their marketing activities

• Coordination and Certification of GDVT

German Dual Vocational Training (GDVT)

30% Theory learning at a vocational institute

70% Practical On-the-job training

Based on the Framework Curriculum and complimenting company training → Ensures proper theoretical knowledge

According to Framework Curriculum based on industry requirements and standards → Ensures company and job specific knowledge

• …registers with JPK as an SLDN Training Provider and with MGCC as a Vocational Training Partner

• …identify qualified and certified In-Company trainer

• …adapts Framework Curriculum for on-the-job training
