what is the global internship program?
Global Talent is an intercultural internship program powered by AIESEC.
We give students and recent graduates like you the opportunity to take on a cross-cultural professional development experience. Internships are available in over 100 countries, in a variety of work settings, from small start-up companies, to non-governmental organizations, to multinational corporations from around the world.
Internships can last from 3 - 18 months and are designed to give you the professional development experience that will take you one step further in your career, while the experience of living abroad will allow you to grow into the person you have always wanted to be.

Global Talent internships are for upper year students or recent graduates of a Canadian university where an AIESEC chapter is present. These experiences provide you with the opportunity to gain professional experience in an intercultural setting. We are looking for talented, proactive young leaders with a passion for learning from new experiences and a keen interest in developing their leadership potential personally and professionally. If you are interested in a global career, or even just looking for your next career direction and are passionate about travel, an AIESEC internship is a perfect place for you to jumpstart your future.

One of the biggest advantages of taking on an internship with AIESEC is the support you receive before, during, and after your internship. AIESEC is completely run by students like yourself, some of whom have already experienced a Global Talent internship, so they know exactly what challenges you will be facing, and are well equipped to support you on your journey. These are some of the services and support you can expect.

I never dreamed my one-year AIESEC internship to Mumbai (Bombay), India would lead me on a personal journey that eight years later finds me running schools for 160 street kids. Thanks to AIESEC, I discovered how one person could make a difference to the lives of
many, one at a time.

This AIESEC internship has been such a blast so far! I’ve met so many like-minded people – it’s so astonishing that we’re all from different countries and cultures. My internship has provided me with challenging work that has pushed me to grow and mature both personally and professionally. If you love traveling to other countries and experiencing
a change of culture, and are now looking to develop yourself professionally , an AIESEC
internship is the way to go.

I am often asked, “Why did you start your own business?” There’s the long
answer about a back-packing trip through Europe with my future business
partner and the short answer about being too naïve to know any better. But
the real reason stems from my experience with AIESEC.

AIESEC proved to me that anything is possible. I never would have dreamed of being one of the leaders of a great organization at the young age of 22 years and having the opportunity to travel around the world. Because of AIESEC, I have
life-long friends in different countries, a balanced perspective of the world and a career
where I use the passion I discovered and the skills gained over twenty years ago.
