Introduction Christopher was born in the year of 1451 in
Genoa, Italy. Christopher started learning sailing at a young age.
This was started by going on short fishing trips, then escalating into longer and more extensive trips with merchants.
He made a total of four trips to the Caribbean and South America during the years 1492-1504.
