Gundaroo locals and friends we need your help
to vote for our project!
Gundaroo Park Playground Shade and
Sustainable Power Project A Gundaroo Park project has been selected as one of the finalists in the NSW Government’s
My Community Grant program. The project is for the construction of a shade roof over the Park play-
ground that incorporates solar panels and battery storage.
The shade will give safe year-round use of the playground by local children; the solar system will
reduce running costs for the Park Land Manager and user groups including Gundaroo Men's Shed,
Scouts, Soccer and Cricket clubs and community events including the MND fundraising Music Festival.
It’ll also provide a secure power supply during blackouts, keeping the Park water bore running to fill
the irrigation tank that doubles as an emergency supply for the Rural Fire Service. Estimated value of
the grant is $50,000.
To win the grant we have to get more votes for our project than the other four ideas.
Voting is restricted to people who live in the Goulburn electorate.
How can I vote?
You can only vote online. Go to the link https://mycommunityproject.service.nsw.gov.au/ If you’re aged 16 years or over and have a valid Medicare card, you can vote for projects in your NSW
state electorate. To vote, you’ll need to log in to a MyServiceNSW Account – if you don’t have an
account, sign up on the Service NSW website, call 13 77 88 or visit your nearest Service NSW Centre.
You can find information on creating a MyServiceNSW Account at
https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/sign-myservicensw-account
You’ll also need to provide your NSW residential address to confirm your NSW state electorate. If you
don’t have internet access, or need help navigating the system, you can visit any of the Service NSW
Centres across the state for assistance. You can find your closest Service NSW Centre at
https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/service-centre or by calling Service NSW on 13 77 88.

Changes to GOSH Management and Request for everyone’s
feedback.
Gundaroo Outside School Hours (GOSH) is undergoing some changes. Many of you may or may not know that
GOSH is run by your P&C. Recently our longstanding manager, Nicky Foote, has chosen to step down from her po-
sition. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Nicky for all of her amazing work over the years to grow our
service into what it is today. Thank you so much Nicky.
Given Nicky’s departure the P & C have decided it would be timely to conduct a review of our services. We have
installed a sub -committee (GOSH Support Team) to conduct this review and to oversee the management change.
They are Helen Rex, Emma Shadbolt, Kate Stear, Dina Tsakiris and Lindi Heap.
To kick start this process we will be sending out a survey within the next week. This is designed to give us a snap-
shot of what you think about our services. We want to know what you like and what can be improved. We especially
want to hear from those of you who previously used the service and from those who do not use the service.
Having a high quality out of school hours care program is integral to the growth of our school. We would very much
appreciate it if you could take the time to complete the survey as the information you provide us is vital for the im-
provement and growth of our service.
Thank you
