Harbour Lights is an award-winning fish and chip restaurant and takeaway. Serving thenation's favourite food to the highest possible standards, with welcoming customer service. Harbour Lights operate 19 fridges and freezers with a requirement to monitor temperaturerecords twice daily to comply with statutory food safety regulations. This has been a manualprocess that can impact performance during busy peak times. Tevi helped identify a hi-techsolution that minimises food wastage and reduces man hours spent temperaturemonitoring. Each fridge & freezer will be fitted with a temperature sensor, that transmits data via acontinuous wireless stream back to a central unit. Data records are stored in the cloud andcan be viewed from anywhere at any time with alerts set to inform staff if there is atemperature regulation problem.

This project has helped to identify problems with refrigeration temperature regulation atan early stage and reduced food wastage. We are on track to achieve equivalent savingsof £2700 in its first year of use. The technology has also reduced the manual labour of recording temperatures resultingin improved workforce efficiency.
