– Provide assistance to the HART Board in recruiting candidates for the Permanent HART Executive Director/CEO

GET Revenue Update

Latest GET collection figures for the Honolulu rail transit project

 • The latest quarterly GET collection figure for the rail project came in

at $46.4 million or 6 percent more than we had anticipated in our latest financial plan.

• The project has collected a total of $761 million to date in GET revenue (since Jan. 2007), which is $18 million more than our forecast.

 • $330 million in GET revenue has been spent on the rail project.

 

Final Design Update

FTA Approves HART's Request to Enter into Final

Design • HART has automatic pre-award authority to move forward with final

design activities, demolition, and other non-construction activities such as the procurement of rails, ties, commodities and other specialized equipment

• The FTA is required by law to evaluate proposed New Starts projects and ensure prospective grant recipients demonstrate the technical, legal, and financial capability to implement the project

• Clears the way for a Letter of No Prejudice to advance construction and to begin work on an agreement with the FTA for a Full Funding Grant Agreement (FFGA)

Full Funding Grant Agreement Timeline– Anticipate award of the Full Funding Grant Agreement (FFGA)

from FTA in September 2012– FFGA’s require 60-day review by the U.S. Congress– HART anticipates submitting the FFGA application in early
