Personal Intelligence.

W. A. King, Esq., and lady of Fayette county, Ohio, arc now on a visit tothis city and county. Mr. K. is abrother of the Hon. Bennett King and

Reuben King, and this is their firstvisit to this part of the great West.Mr. and Mrs. King favored us with acall at our sanctum, and we learnedfrom them main- - interesting factstbout the old Buckeye State.

We acknowledge a iriendly call atour sanctum of the Hon. Aaron Van

brmcr, of Toledo, Ohio, lather ofJudge Daniel Van Wormcr of ourCounty Court. We found him to be a

enial old gentleman who carries hisage remarkably well, looking but a tri-

fle older than his son. Mr. Vau W.is the father of nine boys of whichDaniel is the oldest. Mr. Van Wormcr is accompanied by his lady, andboth are in the Missouri Valley for theffrst time. They think we have a goodcountry, and one that is capable ofsupporting a dense population.

Prof. AV. F. Drake and lady leftfor Rock Port last Friday, to takecharge of the PubllcSchool of that place, which commenced Monday, the 21st.He was accompanied by Miss LidePotter and Miss Alice Parker, both ofwhom occupy positions in the sameschool.

Gen. Fitz Hugh Lee of Alexandria,a., has received a letter from the

Khedive of Egypt, asking whether itwill be possible to assemble the oldmembers of the famous Black Horsecavalry, and orgauize them Into abody-guar- d for the ruler of Egypt. Ifsuch a reorganization can bp effected, the viceroy desires General Lee to takecommand of the force. It is not likelythat more than a score of the old BlackHorse cavalry could be brought together at all, and it is still less likely thatthe surviving members would bo willing to leave their homes to follow thefortunes of Ismail Pasha.

Ayer's Ague Cure,For Fever and Ague, Intermittent Ferer,

ChOl Fever, Bemittent Fever, DumbAguo, Feriodlcal orBUloua Fever, &owand Indeed all tho affections which anse

fm, malaxious, thutwH, or miasmatio)yoliiam.

No one remedy Is londeicalled far by the necessities ofthe American people than asure and sale cure for Ferexand Ague, Such we are nowenabled to offer, with a perfectcertainty that It will eradicatethA disease, and with asstuv

anee, founded on proof, that no harm can arise-from its use la any quantity.

That which protects from or prevents this dis-

order must be of Immense service in the com-munities where It prevails. Fremtio Is betterthan cure, for the patient escapes risk whichbe must run In violent attacks of this baleful dis-temper. This "CtntE" expels the miasma Lapoison of Fever ato Ague from the system, and prevents the development of the disease, iftaken on the first approach of Its premonitorysymptoms. It Is not only the best remedy everyet discovered for this class of complaints, cntalso the cheapest. The large quantity wo sup-ply for a dollar brings It within the reach ofeverybody: and In billons districts, whereFever aid Aoci prevails, everybody shouldhave It, and use it freely, both for cure and pro-tection? It Is hoped this price will place It withinthe reach of all the poor as well as tho rich.A great superiority of this remedy oyer anyother ever discovered for the speedy and certaincure of Intermlttenta Is, that It contains no Qnl-nl-

or mineral: consequently It produces noQuinism or other injurious effects whatever uponthe constitution. Those cured by It are lsft ashealthy as If they had never had the disease.

Fever and Ague Is not alone the consequenceof the miasmatic poison. A great variety of dis-orders arise from Its Irritation, among whichare Neuralgia, Rheumatism, Gout, Headache,BltadnessTToothache. Earache, Catarrh, Asth-ma, Palpitation, Painful Affection of the Spleen,Hysterics, Pain In the Bowels, Colic. Paralysis, and derangement of the Stomach, all or which, when origtnating in this cause, put on thela.tertnlttent type, or Iroomeperlodieal. This"Cure" expels the poison from the blood, andconseqaently cures them all alike. It Is an in-

valuable protection to immigrants and personstravelling or temporarily residing in the mahvrious. districts. If taken occasionally or dailywhile (exposed to tho Infection, that.wtll be ex-

creted from the system, and cannot accumulateIn sufficient quantity to ripen into dlsease.llcnce It Is even more valuable rer protectionthan cure: and few will ever suffer from Inttr-raltten- ts

if they avail themselves of the protection this remedy affords.

For XCver ComvlalnU, arising rrom torpidity of the Liver, It is an excellent remeoy, sum.ulatlng the Liver Into healthy activity, and pro--Joeing many truly remarkable cares, wnexoother medicines fall.
