Благословенними Рокамм Служіння В
Господньому Винограднику!
When a priest celebrates his ORDINATION ANNIVERSARY,
it is actually not about him. It’s about the PRIESTHOOD which he is a model.
It’s about CHRIST whom he exemplifies. It’s about the wonderful work of a priest,
and the way he touches the lives of so many. In occasions like this,
we have a chance to express our love and gratitude
to our priest.

It’s Vacation Time...
It’s that time of year again... Vacation Time.
We take time out of our normal routine for
rest and relaxation. Sometimes we stay at
home; sometimes we take trips to visit
friends, explore new places or go on
adventures. We may even forget about our
normal routines for a little while.
Unfortunately, our bills and financial
obligations never take a vacation. This
includes our Church’s bills. Please, when
you prepare to go on vacation, don’t forget
about YOUR CHURCH! You can always
mail in your Sunday Collection envelopes
and then can enjoy your vacations.
ATTENTION USHERS!
Please phone me (Zenon Scraba)
at 204-2949 0r 204 797-48620
if you are unable to usher on your
assigned Sunday.,
Because I have to scramble to find some-
one to replace you. Thank You!
Yours in Christ, Zenon Scraba

Thank You For Papal Collection To Ukraine
I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the parishioners who
donated generously to Pope Francis appeal for aid to Ukraine. Holy
Family Parish embraced the opportunity putting into practice works of
mercy during this Holy Year of Mercy donating a total of $2,975 for the
humanitarian crises in Ukraine caused by Russian aggression.
May God bless you and your families abundantly.
~ Fr Darren
In May 29th, six children received their First Holy Solemn Communion at Holy Family Parish. We congratulate them and their families. May Jesus bless each one of them, always protecting, guiding and helping them to form their hearts as His.

Thank You to Our amazing Catechism Teachers!
Thank you to our amazing catechists who led the children in their faith development this year. We Thank you for giving of your time, skills and sharing our catholic faith. As a catechist your task is both a sacred trust and a serious responsibility, and both of these you have fulfilled with utmost care and dedication.. While the words “thank you” seems inadequate, they nevertheless represent the heartfelt gratitude of Holy Family Parish that is deeply appreciative of all your efforts. Also to the volunteers that helped get the church prepared for First Solemn Holy Communion and the luncheon that followed with special thanks to Fr Darren. God bless you and have a safe and happy summer.

Bill C-14, Medical Assistance in Dying, passed third reading in the House of
Commons the other day, and we need to urge the Senate to further protect the conscience rights for phy-
sicians and facilities in the legislation.
We are pleased to see MPs approved two suggested amendments to the Bill, affirming the protection
of freedom of conscience and of religion in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and stating
that a doctor cannot be compelled to perform euthanasia or physician-assisted suicide.
While we oppose any form of assisted suicide/euthanasia, we recognize that Bill C-14 is imminent and
that the inclusion of conscience rights is an important first step to protect those who object to hastening
death for their patients.
If you have not done so already, please send a letter (using the link below) to the Senate. There is
still time to make an impact…
http:www.canadiansforconscience.cawritesenateutm_campaign=hoc&utm_medium=email&utm_source=cmds
The Senate needs to be sent a clear signal that this Bill must provide clear conscience protection
from coast to coast, thereby preventing a patchwork of policies and regulations from province to prov-
ince.
We need a clear statement from the Senate that conscience protection extends to healthcare institu-
tions like hospitals, nursing homes and hospice facilities. It needs to be clearly stated that conscientious
objections include direct and indirect participation, such as referrals.
And we remain concerned about discrimination, that a palliative care physician will be required to
perform physician assisted death to get a job, whether or not they believe it is right or wrong. That is
discrimination, and discrimination on the basis of personal characteristics like gender, skin colour, reli-
gious belief or creed is illegal in Canada.
Together, let us urge our Senate to recognize, and address, these shortcomings in the government’s
legislation.
