In Spain, it isn’t typical the Easter’s eggs. Thetradition in our country is the Processions of HolyWeek. In my zone, this event is the most importantof all year.

The more principal processions of the Murcia’sProvince are the processions of Cartagena, Lorcaand Murcia but they are very differents.

In my zone, the procession of Cartagena is the mostimportant because the people of my villagecollaborates in this or in the San Pedro’s procession.

Cartagena Processions

Cartagena, a land of processions, shows itscharacteristic and peculiar features during theHoly Week. This local festivity is widelycelebrated by the entire population.

Declared as an event of InternationalTourist Interest (2005), together withthe monumental thrones it shows…

…the richness of the dresses of thepenitents, the embroideries andimagery, the particular colourful richnessof the groups of "Jews" and grenadiers…

…the traces of the military stances in theparades (you can ear the military marchsin this presentation) and see the order ofthe processions…

…the joy of the many, many Nazarenechildren….
