Monday – Phonics:
Phase 2/3
Remote learning reading challenge
The aim of this reading challenge is to encourage children to continue with their reading whilst
remote learning from home during the current national lockdown.
Attached is a reading chart for each child to read 4 books before the February half term.
All that needs filling in is the book title, author and a short sentence by the child describing what
they liked best about the book.
When all 4 books are completed, each child will be entered into a prize draw at the end of half
term, giving them the chance to win a Ready Steady Read Prize Hamper. You just need to contact
your child’s teacher after they have read 4 books through seesaw, email or MM with your
child’s name so that they can be added to the prize draw list.
Our class story:
Some of the Reading and Writing activities this week have the answers in the
story. You can read the story here and in the powerpoint file on the website.
If you have a printed pack, please keep these story pages because we will
be working on the same book for some time.
Thank you.
