Lorenzo Quinn studied at the
American Academy of Fine Arts in New
York and subsequently in workshops
and foundries across the United States
and Europe. Starting out as a painter in
1982, he soon discovered that a
dimension was missing from his works
and that he could not offer anything
that had not already been offered by
other artists before him. Turning to
sculpture because of a deep-rooted need
to create, he found this medium allowed
him to convey his innermost feelings to
the viewer; it is, in fact, this direct
communication which Lorenzo
constantly seeks. He says, “It is the
viewer that interests me not the art
critic...I make art for myself and the
people who wish to come along for a
ride through my dreams.” He is inspired
by the great masters such as
Michelangelo, Bernini, Carpaux and
Rodin, and he frequently returns to Italy
to gain inspiration and knowledge.Encounters

A painter and a sculptor, an
excellent draughtsman and
a craftsman, the Israeli artist
David Gerstein seeks to
expand the limits of the
two-dimensional paintings
into three-dimensional
sculptures. In his choice of
subject matter he wishes to
break down the existing
barriers between the work
of art and its audience, by
creating enchanted and
simple straight forward
images, which render
sometimes intimate, dream-
like, naïve scenes and
another times a cinematic,
large scale, choreographed
reality.

MICHAEL WILKINSON
is a sculptor, poet, storyteller, and architect.
The uplifting power of his art raises our consciousness
to a higher level of life appreciation
and thrills us with its pure beauty in endless guises.
As a Romantic Realist, with the ability to render the
human figure in all its classical glory,
Wilkinson has been working in optically clear acrylic
material for more than two decades.
He constantly expands his talent to sculpt “light” in
original way. He has advanced the
art form into unique patterns of optical illusion and
captured our attention both aesthetically
and emotionally.

His creations also speak from the heart of the discordant struggle of urban American life. Born Dale Charles Mathis in 1972, and raised in Inglewood, California. His was a childhood surrounded by gangs and crime. His family and art from the earliest ages shielded him and drew him to the path less traveled. Growing up in Inglewood, he always had a desire to be like MacGyver, taking things apart and not trying to put them back together but finding creative new uses for the parts. Deeply inspired by artists Salvador Dali and Edmonia Lewis, – Art was his escape into another reality he could create for himself. He is a truly self taught artist.
