How to Access RTM Debits from LowesLink

Information concerning RTM Debit Memos is available to vendors in LowesLink. To access this information, vendors must perform the following steps:

1. Login to LowesLink (under the Lowe’s logo in the left corner of the main screen).

2. The system will verify the digital certificate. A pop-up box stating “An application is requesting access to a protected item” will appear. Click OK.

3. Once the system has completed this process, a screen showing ECommerce to the right will come up. Select Composition List under this section.

4. Select RTM Debit Memos.

5. This will pull the DM information for the vendor logged in the system. The information can be sorted by clicking on the column headings.

Note: Remit vendor and RTM vendor are both included.

6. Once the DM to review is found, click anywhere on the line information.

Note: Instant help is available at any time if needed. See left-side of screen.

7. This will show information for each Store and RTM on the debit. Vendors should Download Entire Detail from this screen (see upper-left-hand corner of screen under Menu). This will download detailed information concerning this debit memo into a spreadsheet format which gives more details than shown on the RTM Summary Selection screen.

Note: Download Summary will not include the item/quantity information.

8. This should be saved as an Excel file. Change the file type under save as type to Excel (.xls).

9. The information can then be sorted or manipulated as desired by the vendor.

10. Item detail level can also be reviewed by clicking on the specific line (RTM).

Note: Downloading from this screen gives the detail for only the RTM selected.

Helpful Hints• LowesLink information is only displayed for 9 months. The information should be retrieved

and saved by the vendor, otherwise a $25 fee will apply for all copy requests.

• Currently, only DMs ending with “DA” and postings to defective allowance accounts “AL” are available in LowesLink. Other DMs will be available in the near future.

• Deductions not listed in LowesLink are mailed to the vendor the day the deduction posts to their account. Please allow 7 days to receive a copy of the DM.

• If you have not received this information after the 7 day time period, please e-mail RTMVendor@Lowes.com. Include the following in your request:

1. Vendor Number

2. Vendor Name

3. Debit Memo Number

4. Date of the Debit Memo

5. Amount of the Debit Memo

Please note: Debits less than $1 are not deducted from the vendor’s check.

Submitting ChargebacksVendors should submit chargebacks using the form provided in LowesLink.

1. From the RTM Summary Selection screen, select Submit Chargeback (see upper-left-hand corner of screen under menu).

RTM Chargeback Template

2. This will automatically populate the information highlighted above.

3. The DM Tracking number MUST be on the Discrepancy form in order for Lowe’s system to accept for research.

Completing the RTM Chargeback Template

4. Enter the details on the lines provided. This information is required in order for Lowe’s to properly research. This can be copied from the DM details that was previously downloaded and saved into Excel.

5. The RTM chargeback amount should be the amount requested by the vendor. The total chargeback amount should be the total of the chargeback – total amount requested by vendor.

6. This form should be saved in Excel (.xls) as well.

Helpful HintsPlease review the following for accessing the Loweslink RTM Composition List Information

• The details for a deduction maybe viewed by clicking “Download Entire Debit” after clicking on a specific deduction number (ex. DM1234AL)

• The discrepancy Notification Form should only be used to report a discrepancy in the detail information such as “product is not from vendor” (submission of this form is not required)

• When submitting a discrepancy, the form should be completed in its entirety including the store/RTM number, and a chargeback reason. (Note: Chargeback reason is not the same as the reason code on the RTM data. Chargeback reason describes the reason the discrepancy is being submitted. See Chargeback Reason Codes 1 through 9 on the RTM Discrepancy Form – Submit Chargeback menu option)

Additional Information Concerning RTM Chargebacks

• Once all information has been populated in the spreadsheet and saved in Excel (.xls), the chargeback should be e-mailed as an excel attachment to RTMVendor@Lowes.com.

• Chargebacks are worked by Accounting Specialists on a daily basis. We currently have a 30-day turnaround time to respond to the vendor.– If the chargeback is paid, the vendor will notice this on their check

remittance.– If the chargeback is refused, documentation will be forwarded to the

vendor with the reason why.

• Vendors should submit chargebacks in writing using the Discrepancy Notification form instead of calling. Chargebacks are scanned into Lowe’s Workflow system for tracking and resolution.

• If you have questions concerning RTM debits please e-mail RTMVendor@Lowes.com.
