• Google Hummingbird is a search algorithm used by Google. September 27, 2013 was Google's official birthday, made Google 15 years old. To celebrate their 15th birthday, Google launched a new "Hummingbird" algorithm, claiming that Google search can be a more human way to interact with users and provide a more direct answer.

• Why it’s named as such? – Being precise & Fast.

• Focus shifted to “Conversational search”.• For e.g. “What’s the closest place to buy the iPhone 5s

to my home?” A traditional search engine might focus on finding matches for words — finding a page that says “buy” and “iPhone 5s,”.
