The 2016 International

Attractions Expo was held in Orlando,

Florida from November 14 – 18.

Some of the highlights included:

Skyline Attractions officially unveiled Skywarp,a new 62 foot tall compact thrill ride concept.

Triotech announced the company is developing a 5-D Ghostbusters interactive ride to open at Germany’s Heide Park Resort in summer 2017.

S&S-Sansei Technologies unveiled a new inverted thrill coaster with a minimum height of just 39 inches.

The first iteration of the coaster, “Merlin’s Mayhem,” will be a 20-seat themed experience with onboard audio opening at Dutch Wonderland in Pennsylvania in May 2017.

Zamperla will supply 20 rides, including one coaster, to Owa, a new amusement park opening in Foley, Alabama in 2017.

Vekoma Rides Manufacturing showcased Firestorm, a new 2,960-foot LSM launch coaster where the ride vehicles shoot to more than 62 miles per hour in less than four seconds.

The first Firestorm has opened at Vinpearl Thu Thiem in Vietnam.

Mondial tweaked their Super Nova ride into a new concept called“The Blender.”

MACK Rides unveiled Xtreme Spinning Coaster, a compact, launched, inverting coaster that could run regular and spinning trains on the same track.

Maurer showcased the extremely versatile SPIKE, a powered coaster driven by a rack and pinion.

The first single rail Spike coaster is Sky Dragster at AllgäuSkyline Park near Munich, Germany and opened in October.

Dynamic Attractions won the Best New Product Concept Award for the Dynamic Motion Theater.

The new multi-dimensional theater attraction combines motion-based seats with rotating screens that can move to reveal show sets filled with special effects or live action.
