Up to 100 zero’s.•Added to oxford dictionary in 2006.•Current head quarters at mountain view , California.•Core business is online search and selling advertisements. Revenues are generated from these two services initially .•Google is no longer a hot ‘ growing’ company its changing into a ‘mature’ company. Microsoft’s new search engine-Bing is the direct competitor. It is also facing tough competition from facebook and twitter .•Google started to invest many other ventures and many acquisitions.

INTERNAL CHALLENGES CONFRONTING GOOGLE• GOOGLE’S biggest challenge is “GOOGLE” itself.

• Threat of deflection.

• Internally it has an innovation problem.

• Google can’t keep its teams small enough.

•At Google, if a product becomes successful, will get tons of resources and people thrown at it.

• Google’s services need to support every platform.

• The biggest challenge in this area is focus knowledge graph, speech recognition, natural language understanding and conversion.
