encountered as an overweight kid who constantly was taunted and teased by his classmates,

a bullied teen. But Tekha also shares how he found the amazing strength to change his life

forever by replacing bad habits with good habits. Through exercise and healthy diet, Tekha was

able to lose 144 lbs. (65 kg.) in 11 months and achieve his dream of becoming a professional

basketball player for Team Egypt. With the message “If you can dream it, you can do it,” Tekha

inspires not only those who want to lose weight – but anyone who has a goal, whatever that goal

may be. His presentation is a true testament that you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Ahmed (Tekha) Tarek Selim is a mass media student at the University of Sharjah in

the United Arab Emirates, where he plays on the UOS national championship basketball team.

Tekha previously played point guard for the Egyptian National Team and is well known as one

of the best point guards in the Middle East. He currently plays for the MPAC Team in Dubai. He

also is founder and CEO of the organization Tekha Group, which sponsors seminars all over the

world. Tekha stars in the American film “#Camels,” which will premiere at international film

festivals in 2013. Through all natural means, Tekha was able to lose 144 pounds during the 11th

grade of high school; he uses his story of transformation as a way to motivate others to reach

their goals. His mantra “Dream, Believe, Achieve” already has inspired thousands to change

their lives for the better.

better athlete or something else. Thus, Tekha Group evolved into an organization promoting

healthy physical, mental and emotional lifestyles. As Tekha travels the world as the group’s

primary motivational speaker, he bravely uses his own story of pain and anguish and his

transformation into a better self to help others realize their dreams.
