Uniting the world
Generating unique media content
Introduction
Mars One Foundation Mars One Ventures

go to Mars starting 2032
is not an aerospace company: hardware for the mission will be
built by third party, established aerospace companies.
gets income from donations and receives a license fee from
Mars One Ventures AG
Mars One Foundation projections illustrate that the donations and the
license fee can fund the mission.
holds the exclusive monetization rights around the mission
including media rights
revenue will also come from merchandise, games, apps, events,
technology related and other intellectual property, business
partnerships, etc.
Mars One Venture’s listing gives the fan base the opportunity to buy
shares, creates a group of loyal shareholders and enhances their

Market Comparison
Exposure value Comparison
EA’s “Ultimate Team”, a feature which
started out in the publisher’s FIFA
games, has become one of its biggest
successes, as it now generates around
$800 million in annual net
revenue.
Game Value comparison
In 2016 Star Wars became the third-
largest worldwide grosser with $2.07 billion in merchandise sales.
Merchandise comparison
The expected mission progress will increase conversion rates of merchandise compared to
today. Order value is expected to increase due to customer willingness to spend more as
credibility grows and due to more expensive items, including toys. In addition, we generate
revenue from advertisement on video content.

After the first 12 months, website visitors numbers are expected to increase further because
of the mission progress. Mars One’s suppliers will start construction of mission hardware
around 2019 with more and more to share in the years following. Mars One will repeat the
selection process every year in order to increase the number of teams in training and to
replace teams that drop out. Conversion rates are based on previously achieved results.

Considerations
Expected scenario: Showing the expected cash flow. All numbers are US$. No
tax is taken into account. Based upon previously achieved
results.
Two important unknowns in the business case are the cost of implementing
the Mars mission and the numbers of visitors to the Mars One website
50% revenue scenario: Numbers of visitors to the website are reduced
by 50%, which reduces profitability but causes no
cash flow problems.

Private placement
The investment we are currently raising will be used to bridge the gap
between today and when the shares resume trading. This requires,
amongst other things, an updated prospectus for Mars One Ventures
AG. Work on the prospectus has already started.
Mars One Foundation will restart the astronaut selection program and
open up a new round of Mars settler applications to get back in the
spotlight.
Use of funds
Mars One Ventures is currently offering shares through a private placement
with a discount compared to the last traded price at the exchange.
The shares are currently not trading, because the new shares that were issued in
December 2016 need to be admitted to trading.
