Share all of your associations with our association on the Arbiter

This helps you and the supervisor

On the Arbiter go to PROFILE After that comes up go to

SHARING, and then line up the associations and check the boxes

19

Share Associations by February 1st

If you don’t, sometimes it doesn’t show up when I assign and you get double assigned

Then you have to call me and say you’re working for someone else

26

When finished reset “Show

34

We do not throw fans, announcers, etc. out of games

Game management does this with your professional request

If game management fails to act, warn once, then game over

Let me know if no one walks you to your vehicle after the game

35

Unruly Fans

Profane

Personal

Prolonged

36

Warning, write it down

A warning is, “This is your

official warning”

Restrict

Disqualify/Eject

37

Call Gary immediately after the game for restrictions, DQ’s and ejections

Do not tell anyone if this is an ejection or disqualification

Tell them you’ll turn the form in to me and I’ll let the administrators know the next morning by 7:00 am

38

Complete the sample report on CUA website, I receive this and will get back with you

Hear back from Gary and send official report into NCHSAA for public school games

The official form is on NCHSAA.org The password is REPORT1

39

Private school and middle school games, the CUA website form will be the official form that I’ll send to Principals and AD’s

When filling out forms put only the facts…NO OPINIONS

Multiple ejections, multiple forms

40

Assistant Coaches don’t get the same privilege as Head Coaches

They can’t argue or leave the dugout or their positions on the field…EJECTION

If you restrict an assistant coach…the HEAD COACH IS NOT RESTRICTED

41

Players or coaches ejected

or DQ’ed? I want a warning

95% of the time

A phone call to Gary is

mandatory after every

Restriction, DQ or Ejection

Put all warnings in

toward an opponent or official Profanity Obscene gestures Disrespectfully addressing an

official

No profanity of any kind

toward anyone

Includes coaches, players,

fans, and administrators

Absolutely no taunting or

poor sportsmanship

44

Last year was the worst

year in the history of the

NCHSAA

Mark is holding us

accountable to address this

issue

45

Non blocked off days mean you’re available to work, and will be ready when getting a phone call that day.

On your off days have your clothes and equipment in the car

If you accept one of these games late in the day…good things are coming for you

46

Travel distance, I’ll do the

best that I can

I’d like to keep everyone

less than an hour from

home, can’t always be done.

School proximities are not

their fault, they deserve the

best we can send

47

The better the umpire, the more he may have to travel

Travel a longer distance? Hopefully we can get you a doubleheader at that location

Can’t send the same umpires to the same sites repeatedly

48

Stay out of the team

dugouts

Don’t fraternize with

coaches, players or fans

during a game

“Silence can’t be quoted”

49

Where do we stand in

between innings?

During pitching changes?

50
