Jobsite email marketing – the last six months
Getting your vacancy in front of the right candidate, at the right time, matters. Email
marketing is a crucial part of how we do this and we’re constantly looking to
improve. Check out what we’ve done in the last six months alone:
• Launched refreshed creative that’s designed for mobile and tablet devices –
getting jobs and career advice to candidates whenever and wherever they want
• Achieved Return Path certification – making sure that our emails hit candidate
inboxes instead of their junk folders
• Better email tracking and reporting – allowing us to monitor job alert
performance even more closely and drive continual improvement
• We’re moving our email programme to ExactTarget, the industry-leading
interactions provider. Jobsite job alerts have already been migrated and we
maintained excellent deliverability throughout (Sender Scores of at least
98/100)
Job alerts – what we’ve done
• Mobile-first design so candidates can
browse your jobs on the move
• Improved email structure for better
deliverability – resulted in 20% open
rate improvement year on year*
• Removed the clutter to get candidates
clicking on what really matters; the jobs
that match their search

Candidate communications – what we’ve done
• Tailored content for different
audiences: last month we sent
engineering and IT candidates their
own newsletter with industry relevant
content
• April’s engineering newsletter got
70% more engagement than our main
candidate newsletter* – and that was
already up 40% on our old style
newsletter!
• Attractive designs that look great on mobiles, tablets and desktops

Distributing our content across multiple channels
• Email plays a key part in our
campaigns, such as the Shorty

Customer emails – what we’ve done

looking equally beautiful on your phone
or your desktop
• 44% more of you clicked through to find
out more on this email than on our old
client newsletter (we get it, the old one
was a bit dull…)
