- Approx 500 lbs and 3.5’ in length

Green Sea Turtle - Chelonia mydas - Approx. 600 lbs and 4’ in length

Leatherback Sea Turtle - Dermochelys coriacea - Approx. 1300 lbs. and 7’ in length

Hawksbill Sea Turtle - Eretmochelys imbricate - Approx. 200 lbs. and 3’ in length

Nesting Process

• Male Loggerhead Sea Turtle

• The female will use her rear flippers alternately to scoop out the nest.

• The female lays an average of 107 eggs per clutch

Emergent Hatchlings

Loggerhead eggs hatch on average in 55 days.– Approx. 1 in 1,000 will make it to egg-laying age.
