When do we used this sign?a. when greeting other Girl Guides, andb. in respect of national flag during ceremonies.

The three fingers represent the three parts of Girl Scout promise.1. Honour God and the King2. Help Others3. Obey the Scout Law.

Girl Scout HandshakeGirl Guides and Girls Scouts greet each

other using the left hand handshake and make Girl Scout sign with the right hand.

The Girl Scout handshake is a token of friendship.

Shaking hand with left hand meant that the person trusted each other.

Lord Robert Baden-Powell explains the meaning of the phrase, which means a scout must always

in a state of readiness in mind and body to do your duty.
