Junior Volunteer Summer Camp
The Junior Volunteer Summer Camp
has been off to a great start!
Kids at KMI enjoyed a Science
themed-week that ended with a big party and
water fight with the residents!! The kids have
been playing games and taking part in
one-on-one visits with the residents and there
is more to follow including Time Travel,
Nature and Space.
Kids at KWCC have enjoyed various themed-weeks including Pirate, Hawaiian,
Science & Circus. The kids have participated in fun activities with the residents
including building volcanoes, a pirate sing along with David Goss; hosting a
carnival, science experiments with the Lil’ Shop of Science, playing games.
This new program is proving to be a fun and beneficial experience
for both our residents and the children in both homes. Some children
and their parents have already expressed interest in becoming
volunteers after their experience at Junior Volunteer Summer Camp!

Pam Morton’s Retirement
Pam Morton retired after over 30 years of service at Kennebec Manor. She wore various hats during her time here...LPN, activities and clerical. Pam gave her best to the various positions and is now going to put her feet up and let Bruce wait on her at home and enjoy visits from their son, Chris.

Zelda’s River Adventures
It is always wonderful to get out and enjoy nature in our surrounding area. Recently, our residents enjoyed a beautiful day on the Kennebecasis River thanks to Zelda’s River Adventures. Not only did the residents have fun but they also enjoyed a little fishing. Keith Thompson didn’t have to tell any “fish tales”...he had pictures to prove it!!!

The Valley Cruisers were at Kennebec Manor again this year for a much appreciated visit. The antique vehicles bring back some fond memories!!

Some of the other activities our residents enjoyed during July were bowling, bus
trips to St. Martins, the Pumpkin Patch, Rockwood Park, Dairy Queen and the
Cherry Brook Zoo.
