Cindy Wise, Principal
Wise’s Words of the Week: Greetings from Lake Street Elementary—home of the 4-Star Dazzling Dolphins A FEW NOTABLES FROM THE DOPHIN POOL:
This week NEHS sponsored an Olive Garden Fundraiser through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. A student from each class was picked to enjoy spaghetti, breadsticks, and that awesome Olive Garden salad and dressing. Thank you Mrs. Hochbaum and Mrs. Gaines for sponsoring this event.
Our courtyard upkeep and growth of all the new plantings has begun. Take a look at the aerial view of the beautiful area.
This year’s Hoops for Heart fundraiser brought in $3,368 for the American Heart Association. Thank you Mrs. Poulton and Mrs. Steward for organizing this great event.
It’s that time of year…the social studies vignettes have started. Our fourth grad-ers built Indiana homesteads based on their research of our home state…INDIANA. They also went to Buckley Homestead to see life in the early 1900s in action.
Our fifth grade classes are busy training for their Challenger Field Trips next week. They are learn-ing about our country…the good ole U.S.A., as well as how our government works.
GRANDPARENTS’ DAY AND DARE GRADUATION for our fifth graders is Monday, May 18th in Lake Street’s gymnasium.
First grade will be walking to the library this upcoming week.
Our kindergarten classes enjoyed their trip to Fair Oaks Farms recently.
