Discover the CPI, or Common Point of Interest, between you and any new person as soon as possible. Ask creative, unique, interesting, thought-provoking and challenging questions like, “Can you describe the best day you had at work last year?

step in the hiring process; know when and from whom you should expect to hear next.

Know what action you are expected to take next and DO IT!

Back everything up by solid detailed scenarios or experience.

Personal thank you’s and not just an email. LinkedIn profiles need to match up with your

current resume.

Tune InTune In Always maintain eye contact. 

Looking off /away gives the impression that you are uninterested, which can equates to arrogance.

Don’t interrupt.  This is really hard when you are excited or an extrovert.

Listen! Learn! Love something! 

showing passion will define you and leave an impact!

Connect with PeopleConnect with People Find out what charities, sports, hobbies, community

activities are important to people and engage them at this level. These are their time investments!

Participate in the same online communities and provide value.

Does someone you meet like Italian food? Send them a recipe.

Have you both traveled to Hawaii? Do you both have horses? Share pictures either via email, Facebook or an online album like Shutterfly.

Start a newsletter or a blog. Set up Google Alerts for things that are of interest to your

prospect and send links to them. Send a handwritten “Thank You” card….everyone emails.
