SUBSTITUEQ: What can I substitute to make improvements? What happens if I swap this for that? How can I substitute the place, time, materials, or people?

COMBINEQ: What materials, features, processes, people, products, or components can I combine? Where can I build synergy?

ADAPTQ: What part of my product or service can I change? –In exchange for what? What if I changed the characteristic of a component? Can I adapt the service or process to remove the problem?

MODIFYQ: What if I wrap, exaggerate, or distort a feature, component, service? What will happen if I modify the process in some way to minify or magnify it?

Q: What other market could I use this product or service in? Who or what else might be able to use it? What solution can I re-use to solve my problem?

ELIMINATE

Q: What would happen if I removed a component or part of it? How else could I achieve the solution without the normal way of doing/using it?

REARRANGE/REVERSE

Q: What if I reversed the way it is done or used? What if I did it the other way around? How could I get the opposite effect?
