2.Stand behind victim, lean them forward and give them 5 BACK BLOWS.

3.Wrap arms around victim and give 5 ABDOMINAL THRUSTS.

4.Repeat if still choking or if victim passes out, lay them down gently and dofirst aid for unconscious choking victim.

• AIRWAY – open airway by tilting the head back

• BREATHING - look, listen, feel for breathing

*if breathing, MONITOR VICTIM till help arrives

*if not breathing, give 2 BREATHS ( and go to C)

• CIRCULATION - check the PULSE and look for any other signs of circulation.

-SOMEONE ELSE CAN TAKE OVER

-ADVANCED MEDICAL HELP ARRIVES

- AED IS AVAILABLE

AED (AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL

DEFIBRILLATOR)

• FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY AED

• AFTER ONE SHOCK, DO CPR WHILE WAITING FOR AED TO TELL YOU TO DELIVER ANOTHER SHOCK
