What is a prediction?
• A prediction is a forecast or an educated guess of what may happen next
Read the passage in front of you
• What do you believe will happen next? • When you believe you have an accurate
prediction write it on the sticky note and place it on the board.
What will happen next?
• Take out one sheet of paper• Make a prediction as to what you believe will
happen in the class book we are reading. • We are going to pass the papers arpound so
everyone can see all of the different ideas everyone has in the class.
