89% of charitable organizations are using some form of social media including

66 % of respondents in 2007 and 75% in 2008 report they monitor the Internet for buzz, posts, conversations etc.

More than 80% of those studied feel that social media is at least “somewhat important” to their future strategy; 45% responded that social media is very important
