Men Volunteers Needed to Help Stop Rape!

Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter is looking for volunteers that

support the vital work of our local rape crisis centre and transition house.

Position Description & Link to the Organization's Mission

We are seeking men (and women) who want their volunteer work to make an immediate

practical difference in the world. Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter operates a 24

hour rape crisis centre, a transition house for women and their children who are escaping

violent men, legal and advocacy clinics, and a speakers bureau. All services are free.

We are seeking volunteers for our community-based fundraising. You will meet interesting

people, raise money through established monthly and annual events, and have the opportunity

to participate in the creation of new campaigns. You will work side-by-side with feminists on

violence against women and have the opportunity to learn and to educate the public on how

men can practically contribute to ending violence. Your work will practically sustain critical

resource for women and their children

Skills & Experience Volunteers must be:

-16 years of age or older

-willing to work with women leaders

-available for volunteer work on one Saturday a month and come to a meeting on the 4th

Tuesday of the month from 7-9pm to a meeting

reputation of 40 years implementing the legal, social and attitudinal changes necessary to

prevent, and ultimately eradicate, rape and sexual assault. By working with us you will be

- Ongoing follow-up & support provided by Committee members and leadership

Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter is looking for volunteers that

support the vital work of our local rape crisis centre and transition house.

Position Description & Link to the Organization's Mission

We are seeking men (and women) who want their volunteer work to make an immediate

practical difference in the world. Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter operates a 24

hour rape crisis centre, a transition house for women and their children who are escaping

violent men, legal and advocacy clinics, and a speakers bureau. All services are free.

We are seeking volunteers for our community-based fundraising. You will meet interesting

people, raise money through established monthly and annual events, and have the opportunity

to participate in the creation of new campaigns. You will work side-by-side with feminists on

violence against women and have the opportunity to learn and to educate the public on how

men can practically contribute to ending violence. Your work will practically sustain critical

resource for women and their children

Skills & Experience Volunteers must be:

-16 years of age or older

-willing to work with women leaders

-available for volunteer work on one Saturday a month and come to a meeting on the 4th

Tuesday of the month from 7-9pm to a meeting

hour rape crisis centre, a transition house for women and their children who are escaping

violent men, legal and advocacy clinics, and a speakers bureau. All services are free.

We are seeking volunteers for our community-based fundraising. You will meet interesting

people, raise money through established monthly and annual events, and have the opportunity

to participate in the creation of new campaigns. You will work side-by-side with feminists on

violence against women and have the opportunity to learn and to educate the public on how

men can practically contribute to ending violence. Your work will practically sustain critical

We are seeking men (and women) who want their volunteer work to make an immediate

practical difference in the world. Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter operates a 24

hour rape crisis centre, a transition house for women and their children who are escaping

violent men, legal and advocacy clinics, and a speakers bureau. All services are free.

We are seeking volunteers for our community-based fundraising. You will meet interesting

people, raise money through established monthly and annual events, and have the opportunity

to participate in the creation of new campaigns. You will work side-by-side with feminists on
