DESCRIPTION
Meriken Park is a seafront park in central Kobe City, Japan. The park was constructed following the powerful earthquake in 1995 which destroyed the area and much of Kobe. About 6,000 people lost their lives. A great place to visit to relax, exercise, paint, photography, meet people. I love the night time views. There are many features including a Maritime Museum, Earthquake Memorial, which retains part of a destroyed pier.
