F.A.Q
Problem Indication Corrective Action
Check if the power supply cable is firmly connected to the main power supply
Check if the AC input power source is between 100 and 240VAC. (Check if the source voltage is between 36VDC to 72VDC for a DC Box)
No Power Main power
LED is not glowing
Check the fuse on AC mains supply
Check whether the connected devices port is active.
Check if the cable is faulty.
Copper link not active
TX Link LED is not glowing
(TX LINK) Reset the device and try again
Check if the receive fiber of the local device is properly connected to the transmit port of the remote fiber device and the transmit port to the receive port of the remote device
Ensure that the cables are inserted properly.
Check whether the connected remote device is active.
If the problem persists, then repeat the above-mentioned steps at the remote device.
If the link still does not come up, ensure that the fiber link is functional, using an OTDR equipment measure the fiber loss and ensure that the loss is less than the product power budget.
Fiber link not active
FX Link LED (1000Base-FX is not glowing)
Reset the device and try again
Improper network traffic / slowed down traffic
Excess collisions Verify that all devices (both FCAT and the devices interconnected by them) are set to the same Duplex mode, 1000 Mbps data rate, and set to Auto negotiation enable.
