Peppered moths: sexual reproduction or mutation led to different variations of color within the moth species= dark or light.

Then, the ENVIRONMENT (tree color) determined which trait is was better to have.

                                                                        

How many offspring are produced in one year?

• An Oak tree will make up to 2000 acorns each fall

• A single female field mouse can have 17 litters of babies in a year, and each litter can have up to 13 individuals = 221 babies
