What is a Noun?

NOUN - is a name of a person, place, thing, idea and event.

What are the kinds of nouns?

Kinds of Nouns1. Common noun - general name of a person, place, or thing

2. Proper noun - specific name of person, place, or thing and it is the opposite of a common noun

Kinds of Nouns3. Concrete noun - names anything (or anyone) that you can perceive through your physical senses: touch, sight, taste, hearing, or smell

4. Abstract noun - names anything which you can not perceive through your five physical senses, and is the opposite of a concrete noun

Kinds of Nouns5. Mass noun - refers to something that you could (or would) not usually count

6. Count noun - anything (or anyone) that you can count

7. Collective noun - a group of things, animals, or persons.
