The Slope of a Line Connecting Two Points

Create a Graph Window

Click on the + tool to activate this menu.

Deactivate the Keyboard

By default the keyboard is active. Click on the Keyboard button to deactivate it.

Select the Geometry Tools

Click Menu. Then select Geometry > Points & Lines > Point.

Place Two Points Onscreen

Note: You’ll have to reselect the Point tool to create the second point.

Display the Coordinates

Press once on the point. Then press again to bring up the Coordinate option. Select it to display the coordinates.

Repeat with the other point.

Construct a Line

Click Menu and select the Line tool

Construct a Line

Click on the first point. Then click on the second point to construct the line.

Measure the Slope

Click on Menu. Click on “Tools” to go back to the Menu that displays Measurement.

Click on the line and see the slope displayed.

Change the Slope

Manipulate the line to see the slope change.

You can also click on the coordinates and input new ones to see the effect on the slope.
