Clarifications1) Students in classrooms unattended

- Please do not leave students in classrooms unattended during class- If an emergency arises and you need to leave for an extended period time, call the office- If an emergency arises and you absolutely must leave the room, you have the professional judgment to do so

2) Open Doors

Emergencies Non-Emergencies- Restroom emergency- Illness- Student emergency

- Conversations with other people- Making copies- Getting drinks/snacks- Consistent restroom breaks

Clarifications Cont.3) Agendas – Purposes:

- Give students an idea of what to expect in that class period- Briefly detail the overarching objective/goal(s) of class

- Written agendas/objectives alone do not fully encompass the indicators in 2.1 on TEI rubric

- Objective’s effectiveness includes what is happening in the classroom
