Michigan Death Records (1897-1920)
• Includes searchable, scanned images of Michigan death records between 1897 and 1920
• Perform an advanced search to search by year or by place of death when you don’t have enough information about a person

Social Security Death Records• Find the death records of a US citizen• Look up an individual by name, birth and death
dates, last residence, social security number, and the age of death (exact or within a range)

• Burton Historical Collection at the Detroit Public Library
• Local Churches (which keep excellent record)– Rabbi Leo M. Franklin Archives (Temple Beth El)– Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit has an Archives
Office, or many older records are on microfilm at the Burton Historical Collection
– Family History Centers of the Church of Latter Day Saints (Check the LDS Temple in Bloomfield Hills)
