Islam was founded in the early 600’s AD in Saudi Arabia.It is one of the world’s oldest religions.

Who was Mohammed?Mohammed was the prophet and founder.

He was born in the city of Mecca.

He had a vision of the archangel Gabriel.

Gabriel told him about Allah (God).

Gabriel gave him over 6,000 laws and verses which he wrote down in the holy book the Quran.

What do Muslims believe?Muslims believe there is only one God.

This is called Monotheism.

Muslims call their God Allah.
