Swimclub fourth

The Oberlin Swim Club took fourth place in Wray, Colo., during the second meet of the season.

Twenty-four Oberlin swimmers took part in the meet June 11, with Keagen Blau winning all three of his events. Hunter May, Danielle Rouse, Jakobi Blau, Kiah Blau and Mollie Tate all had two golds. Mad-elaine Johnson snared one.

Colby won the meet, followed by Wray and Goodland.

“The team did very well over-all and individually,” said coach Stephanie Blau.

Baseball takes center fieldLITTLE LEAGUE

The Oberlin Little League base-ball teams squared off last Tuesday as Fredrickson Insurance won a pair, downing Farmers Bank and Trust 25-14 and Crop Production Services 20-13.

Farmers came back, however, and ended the night with a 1-1 record as it edged Oberlin Well Service 17-16.

This week on Tuesday, Fredrick-son was to face Oberlin Well in the first game, Crop Production versus Farmers Bank in the second then Crop Production against Oberlin in the nightcap.

Next Tuesday, Fredrickson will play Farmers at 6:30 p.m., Crop Production will play Fredrickson at 7:30 p.m. and Farmers will play Oberlin Well at 8:30 p.m.

BANTAMOberlin’s Bantam team split a

doubleheader with Atwood last Tuesday in front of the home crowd. Oberlin won the first game 5-1 but dropped the second 9-1.

On Tuesday, Oberlin was to play Atwood again, this time in At-wood.

At 6:30 p.m. Monday, the Oberlin players will be in Phillipsburg.

CO-EDPioneer Seed was the big winner

in co-ed softball on Thursday, beat-ing Ginger Power in two games. Pioneer won the first match 26-4 and the second, 18-8.

Bank Gold and Unger Chiroprac-tic split a doubleheader, with Black Gold winning the first by a nose, 25-24, and Unger taking the second in fine fashion, 20-10.

On Thursday, Unger will take on Ginger Power at 6:30 p.m. and Pioneer will take on Black Gold at 8:30 p.m.

Then on Sunday, Co-op will play Black Gold at 6 p.m. and Sappa Val-ley Construction will meet Unger at 8 p.m.

T-BALLThe T-ballers don’t keep score,

but last Tuesday, Raye’s Grocery played Oberlin Livestock and The Bank played Hansen Mueller.

On Tuesday, it was to be Oberlin Livestock against The Bank and Raye’s versus Hansen Mueller.

Next Tuesday, Raye’s will take on The Bank at 6:30 p.m. and Oberlin Livestock will face Hansen Mueller at 7:30 p.m.
